Backups now run nightly on a schedule, with retention and integrity checks

Until now every backup was started by hand, which meant a missed one was silent.

Backups now run automatically each night, spread across the evening so the machines do not compete for the network. Old copies are pruned on a retention policy, reclaimed space is returned weekly, and the stored data is verified against corruption on a weekly schedule.
