Share one subscription list between two ThinkSubs accounts

In ThinkSubs a subscription belongs to exactly one account, so two people cannot sign in separately and maintain a single shared list. Household members attribute who pays for what inside one account, but they are not logins and do not give another person a view of the data.

This is a limitation of the underlying application, tracked upstream at ellite/Wallos#865. We are following it rather than forking.

Available now, on request. Where two members want the same list, we can mirror one account's subscriptions into the other so both see the same subscriptions from their own login. Ask via ThinkFeedback and say which two accounts to link.

How the mirror behaves, so there are no surprises:

  • One-way. One account is the source; the other receives copies. Edit shared subscriptions on the source — changes made on the receiving side are replaced on the next pass.
  • Never deletes. A subscription removed from the source is left in place on the receiving account for you to remove deliberately.
  • Categories, payment methods and currencies are matched to the receiving account's own, so the copies fit naturally alongside anything already there.

This post stays open and tracks the upstream feature.
