The backup server configures itself on a schedule now

The backup server's configuration is applied automatically once a month instead of by hand.

Its settings — time sync, update sources, notification routing, the client that protects it, and its weekly report — were previously applied manually, which meant they could drift quietly between changes. They now run from the automation platform on a fixed monthly schedule, timed to avoid every other scheduled job and the nightly backup windows.

Every run announces itself: a notification when it starts, when it succeeds, and when it fails. The same alerting was switched on for the other automated jobs that manage the virtualisation hosts.
