A packaging step produced an unnamed archive

Publishing failed because the archive being built had no version in its name, so nothing could be uploaded.

The repository had never defined a version identifier. Nothing revealed it until the retrofit restored the publishing step, which had been missing entirely - the gap had existed for as long as the repository has, with no step present to expose it.
