Getting help

The order to try things in, and why the feedback boards are not a support channel.

Where to go depends on what you need, and the fastest route is rarely the feedback boards.

Start here, in this order

1. The Think wiki. Every service has a Quick Start Guide, an FAQ, an Architecture page and a Why page. Most questions are answered there, and the answer is more complete than anything typed in a comment.

2. Discord. If the wiki does not cover it, ask. Other users are often faster than anyone official, and answers arrive in minutes.

3. The feedback boards. Not for questions — for reporting that something is broken, missing or awkward. See Bug or feedback: which board?

4. ThinkComplaints. For anything that needs escalating rather than voting on, or that should not be public.

Why the order matters

The boards are a prioritisation queue, not a support channel. A question posted there waits for triage, cannot be meaningfully voted on, and its answer is invisible to the next person with the same question. Discord answers it in minutes and the wiki answers it permanently.

Cannot sign in?

Sign-in is handled by ThinkAuth, not by ThinkFeedback, so a login problem is usually not specific to this portal.

  • Sign out of ThinkAuth completely and try again — this fixes most cases
  • Try a private window, to rule out a browser extension
  • Check whether other Think services also refuse you; if they do, it is an account problem, not a ThinkFeedback one

If Plex sign-in specifically fails, sign out of ThinkAuth fully first. There is a known upstream defect where signing in through Plex while already holding a session fails; starting signed-out takes the working path.

Still stuck?

Ask in Discord and say what you already tried. That single sentence saves a round trip.
